November 8th's webinar focuses on how we portray weapons and violence in entertainment and the news and its impact on the gun violence crisis. Journalists must walk the line between journalistic integrity and creating engaging news content. In the entertainment industry, writers have a choice in props that use rapid fire or not, and in telling stories where the hero should be the character, not a prop. News outlets also have a choice in how to tell violence-centric stories in real life. In addition, the victims of gun violence don't stop with those injured, killed, or survivor witnesses. The violence takes a toll on those reporting matter-of-fact and non-biased stories.

These webinars are not focused on legislation or policy issues. The intent is to bring together a diverse group of leaders for a critical conversation as a starting point for developing creative approaches that potentially produce a “FEAR-LESS” society, where communities can fear less that they’ll become victims of someone else’s trauma.

During these engaging webinars, we aim to foster constructive dialogue and provide insights that can help shape a more informed and safe approach toward firearms.
